Students partner with artist in residence

For two recent weeks, NES hosted Mark Ragonese, a woodworking and sculpture artist from Bellows Falls, Vt.

Together with Mark, the students in kindergarten through fifth grade carefully painted puzzle pieces and stamped them with beautiful patterns and textures using handmade stamps. At the end of our time, Mark took everything home and put the puzzles together. Each grade has their own color puzzle mural now hanging on the wall.

A huge thank you to Principal Pine, the NES PTA, NCEP and our community for generous purchases made during the Original Works Fundraiser - without your help this incredible project would not have happened.
