Protecting student data privacy:
The Application Inventory

A key tool in our efforts to protect student data is the Application Inventory at the bottom of this page.

The Inventory lists every application (or online tool) that has been vetted by a highly-regarded third party and therefore approved for use in our schools.

What do the four categories on the Application Inventory mean?

Vetted by The Education Cooperative, in collaboration with the NH Student Data Privacy Alliance

Application developer has signed a Data Privacy Agreement with Newmarket

May be used in SAU31

Request for approval has been submitted to The Education Cooperative, and we are waiting for their response

May not be used in SAU31

Developer was not willing to protect personally-identifiable information (PII) of users

May not be used in SAU31 when sharing PII of either students or staff

Interested in using a new application

Guidance for district staff

Check first to see if it's on the Inventory below. (Please do check; it really helps us eliminate extra work.) If it's not listed, then submit a request for application approval. We will contact The Education Cooperative, who will put your request into their queue for vetting.

Application Inventory

Please report any errors in the Application Inventory to the Technology Department.
