New NES and JSHS COVID Cases Confirmed

Dear parents, guardians, and members of the Newmarket community,

Good afternoon. I am sorry to share that we have another confirmed case of COVID-19 at the Elementary school and one at the High school. All close contacts have been notified. 

Transmission in the area is high so universal mask wearing will remain in place for the time being. I know this may be frustrating and is certainly not ideal.  Hopefully when vaccines are available to all students, the number of cases locally will diminish, and transmission will move to the low to moderate level.
