Thanksgiving Gratitude Message

Dear Newmarket parents, caregivers, teachers, students, and community members,

Every year at this time I like to take a moment to reflect on what a special community we have here in Newmarket. We have great kids, supportive families, exceptional educators and a community that values our schools. All of these elements work together to provide our students with a high quality learning experience.

How Newmarket supports those in need is one way that demonstrates the collective commitment of the community. Students and staff regularly engage in activities to support local families in need. Whether it is collecting canned goods at Halloween, fund-raising for families that lost their homes in a fire or just simply coming together to support community events like the recent NES Spaghetti Supper, Newmarket always steps up. It is this strong commitment to our community that makes this place so special. Thank you to all of the teachers, students, parents and community members who always step up.

As we enter Thanksgiving Break I encourage all to take a moment to appreciate what a great community we all live in. Newmarket really is a great place to work, live and raise a family.

On another note: At the last School Board meeting I announced that December 23rd (the last day before winter break)  will be an early release day. NJSHS will dismiss at 11:30 and NES will dismiss at 12:00 on that day. There is more information on our website.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

With Gratitude,

Todd Allen
