Budget and Vaccination Clinic Update

Dear Newmarket Families and Members of the Community,

As we journey through what remains of our glorious New Hampshire fall, the days are becoming shorter and there are fewer and fewer leaves clinging to the trees.  These annual signs herald the upcoming holiday seasons and the rapidly approaching winter solstice, along with celebrations and the first snowflakes of winter.  It is an exciting time for families, and the energy and anticipation will shortly become palpable in the halls of our schools!

School District Budget
On Thursday, November 18, 2021, the Newmarket School Board approved the proposed school district budget for the 2022-23 school year, and it will now be advanced to the Budget Committee for review on December 6th.

Welcome to our New Assistant Principal!
Please join us in welcoming Angelica Mahoney to the Newmarket Junior-Senior High School as our new assistant principal, replacing Jennifer DeStefano.  Angelica holds endorsements as a principal, school speech specialist, and special education administrator.  She comes to us most recently from Manchester with a wealth of experience and expertise, and we are thrilled to have her as part of the Newmarket community of educators!

Vaccination Clinic this Saturday
This Saturday, November 20th, the Town of Newmarket in partnership with Lamprey Health Care, will offer a COVID vaccination clinic for resident and non-resident children between the ages of 5 and 11 years of age, from 9 AM to 12Noon at the Newmarket Elementary School.  The Newmarket Recreation Department will be on hand with balloons, music, and more!

Vaccinations are optional and there is no cost for the vaccines.  The vaccine(s) that will be offered in the clinic will be Pfizer in a dosage size for children.

While walk-ins are welcomed, they ask you to please pre-register by calling (603)659-8581 or by visiting newmarketrec.org. In addition, preregistration forms will be available to save time the day of the clinic.

They also ask that if your child struggles with shots, please see your pediatrician to receive the vaccine.
