Impending Inclement Weather

Good afternoon-

Due to inclement weather that is expected to create unsafe travel conditions, evening activities are cancelled tonight and tomorrow. Tuesday, February 2nd, will be a remote learning day for JSHS students and a snow day for elementary school students.

This distinction is made because JSHS students lost two learning days when we transitioned to remote learning this fall. This shortened the semester at the JSHS by two days and many students are still working to complete competencies and meet requirements for the term which closes this Friday, February 5th. For this reason, tomorrow will be a remote learning and remote workday at the JSHS.

Meals for tomorrow will be sent home with students today.

The second deliberative session will take place as scheduled tomorrow evening at 6:00 PM.

All school staff will work remotely tomorrow to allow the DPW department and our custodial crew time to clean up our roadways, sidewalks, and entranceways. Administrators and front office staff will answer phones during regular hours. All other staff will be available via email.

Please travel safely, shovel frequently, and enjoy the beauty of winter.
