Community Update June 2026

Dear Newmarket Families,
Congratulations! We’ve officially reached the end of the 2025–2026 school year!

What may have seemed like a tough uphill climb, especially on those cold, dark
February mornings, has led us to a well-earned summer break. As we wrap up the year,
I want to take a moment to reflect on how much we’ve accomplished together.

The past few months have been a whirlwind of celebration and growth. From student
award ceremonies and musical performances to field trips, student council elections,
athletic championship games, and graduation events, our students have been at the
center of everything. These moments have not only showcased their talent and
determination but also highlighted the incredible dedication of our staff, volunteers, and
community members. Organizing and executing these events requires immense effort,
and I am deeply grateful to everyone who helped make them happen. Together, we
ended the year on a positive note filled with pride, joy, and lasting memories.

I also want to sincerely thank the entire Newmarket community for your support
throughout the school year. Although no school year is without its challenges, your
ongoing encouragement, feedback, and partnership made a significant difference. We
are proud of what we have achieved and look forward to using the summer to reflect
and improve so we can return even stronger in late August.

Looking Ahead:
As you enjoy your summer, here is some important information to help you plan for the
new school year:

Orientation – Wednesday, August 26th, 8:15–11:30 AM
We are excited to welcome students back with an Orientation on Wednesday, August
26th, from 8:15 to 11:30 AM. Incoming 6th graders and 9th graders will have separate
schedules for the day tailored to their transition needs. While attendance is not
mandatory, it is strongly encouraged as a great opportunity to get acclimated before the
first day of school. Be on the lookout for further communications throughout the
summer.

Summer Building Hours
The building will be open from Tuesday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, beginning
Monday, June 23rd. If you need to speak with a counselor, it is strongly advised to use
the scheduling feature to verify their availability, since they have limited summer hours
and won't be present every day.

Online Registration – Available July 1st
Starting July 1, when you visit the parent portal or sign into the Campus Parent phone
app, you’ll see a prompt to complete “Online Registration” for the 2026-2027 school
year. To access your student’s schedule, you must finish the annual update.
On behalf of everyone at Newmarket Junior Senior High School, thank you once again.
I hope your summer is filled with relaxation, adventure, and quality time with loved ones.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall, feeling refreshed and prepared
for another year of learning and growth.

Wishing you a safe and enjoyable summer break!
