Volunteering in Newmarket Schools

Thank you to our volunteers!

You make a difference. Thank you.

We appreciate your service to our students and schools, at this time we are opening up our volunteer program for field trips and field day for spring 2022.

Read our guidelines for Volunteer Duties and Regulations for Volunteers

All prospective volunteers must complete a Volunteer Criminal Background Check and Fingerprinting.

  1. Contact Patty Banfield at the SAU, either by calling her at 603-659-5020 x7597 or emailing her at banfieldp@newmarket.k12.nh.us.  She will help you set up an appointment to go to the SAU to complete paperwork and get it notarized.
  2. Take the fingerprinting card she gives you to the Newmarket Police Station to get fingerprinted.  (The SAU is paying for the fingerprinting.)
  3. Bring the completed fingerprinting card back to the SAU so they may send it out to the State of NH for background checking.

***The school will receive a list when people are approved.  It has taken as long as 6 weeks before, or as short as 2 weeks.  Given that, please get in contact with Patty Banfield as soon as possible if you want to volunteer before the end of the year, so we can have your approval in time.
