Principal Reminders

March 12, 2021

Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,

I write to you today with great enthusiasm in anticipation of our return to campus for our on-campus learners! I have spoken with many teachers and students who have expressed their joyful anticipation of our Monday return. Covid cases continue to decrease and the number of individuals being immunized continues to grow. These are strong indicators that we are moving closer toward pandemic resolution and that a return to our former way of living is on the horizon. In the meantime, we will continue to do everything we can to help our students keep learning! Here are a few reminders for our return to school for Monday, March 15th.

Families who traveled during our Remote Learning Period (see letter here)

I want to remind those families who may have traveled during February vacation or during the remote learning periods, of the requirement to quarantine. While recent news regarding immunization and case rates have been positive, Covid-19 virus is still present and active in the population. We continue to follow our published safety protocols including quarantining when necessary. Please review the attached letter from our nurses regarding our expectation and protocols. The health and well-being of our school community continues to be our highest concern.

Athletics

Congratulations to our boy and girl basketball teams for their successful seasons! We enjoyed your competitive games and tournament run.

Guidelines for Spring sports are in the works and information will be forthcoming in the next week or two.

Reminders for our on-campus learners

Students are expected to be in there first block class prior to 8:20 AM. Students who are not in class at this time are considered late. Student drivers have been arriving later and later making it difficult for our screeners to do their work efficiently. Students should exit their cars and enter through the appropriate grade entrance upon arrival. Students who continue to enter the building late risk losing their parking privileges on campus. Parents, please encourage your student driver to arrive to school in time for screening through their assigned entrances. Students who do not enter prior to 8:20 AM must enter the building through the front main entrance.

Scheduling for 21-22

I will be publishing a schedule for the Course Selection Process for high school students by the end of next week.

Have a great weekend!
