Reading:   Super Kids Reading Program

 Writing:          Forming  a sentence.  ( Uppercase first letter, spaces between words and an end mark)  We are working on two sentences about a topic. 
Picture Writing : 
We are also working on a "Picture Writing"  project in our classroom.  We are creating our own books about the pumpkin lifecycle.  Each illustration is created using a crayon resist technique.  We have had Beth Olshansky visit our classroom several times over the past few weeks to guide us in this process.  We can not wait for you to see the finished project! 
Math :  November Concepts:     
  Even and Odd 
  Tally Marks 
 Math Facts: Ways To Make 10 ( 1+9=10, 2+8=10, 3+7=10, 4+6=10, 5+5=10, 6+4=10, 7+3=10, 8+2=10, 9+1=10, 10+0=10 )
Commutative Property(Turn around Facts) 
   (example: 4+6 = 10  so...     6+4 = 10)
  Word Problems:  Addition 
   Time to the Hour 
  Money:  Pennies and Nickels
Science:  We have finished learning about the pumpkin lifecycle. 
Social Studies:   Native Americans of the Northeast Woodlands 
We are focusing on shelter, clothing, food,  transportation and hobbies
