Grade 1/2

All About Ms. Miller

I have been working at Newmarket Elementary since 1990 and can't imagine a nicer group of kids and families to work with. I began teaching first grade and moved to teaching a multi age class of first and second graders about 15 years ago. I love helping my students grow and learn over the two years they are with me. The change in them is dramatic and always exciting to be part of.  Watching shy first graders become classroom leaders in second grade is the kind of transformation you can only see in a multi age classroom.

Outside of school I enjoy walking my dog, riding my bike, reading, cooking and playing ice hockey. You will see me walking my beautiful golden retriever all over town.

My name is Sheri Tracy and I have been teaching at Newmarket Elementary School since 2006. I received my Masters Degree in Education from the University of New Hampshire in May 2006. I did my internship at NES and was fortunate enough to be hired as a multi-age teacher the following year. Prior to working at NES, I worked as a classroom assistant at East Kingston Elementary School and Moharimet Elementary School.

I live in East Kingston with my husband, Ross and our two children, Chris and Kate. We share our home with four cats, JR, Cooter, Nora and Pippi. In the summer I spend a lot of time in my garden, tending my bees and kayaking. During the school year when I am not teaching I love to read, knit and snowshoe.
