Happy Holidays from SAU #31

Dear Newmarket parents, guardians, teachers, students, and community members,

As 2022 comes to an end I want to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful winter break and a Happy New Year.

As I have traveled about the schools this week it has been great to see the festive and upbeat atmosphere. From the spirit week activities at the middle school, to today’s concert at NES to the ugly sweater contests at both schools, Newmarket really knows how to have fun and build community. It also isn’t lost on me that we haven’t been able to do these normal things for a few years due to the pandemic which makes them all the more special.

Looking ahead to 2023 gives me a great sense of optimism. I anticipate there will be a lot going on in the Newmarket School District in the coming year. In 2023 there will be physical improvements to our facilities. We will be completing the NJSHS courtyard and upgrading the NES playground this summer. There will also be program improvements across the district. These improvements will be brought about by our continued NEASC accreditation work, master schedule reviews at all levels and our commitment improving our program to better meet the needs of all students. There is a lot to feel good about in the Newmarket School District in the coming year.

Happy Holidays,
Todd Allen, Newmarket Superintendent
