10/8/2013 - On Monday, September 30th, the School Board hosted a presentation (PDF attached) by Clifton Greim, President of Harriman Architects & Engineers, about the possibility of using Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as an alternative fuel source for Town and School facilities. Mr. Greim is a mechanical engineer by trade who is very knowledgeable in the area of alternative energy and alternative fuels. Members of Town Council and the Budget Committee were invited, and many of them were in attendance.

CNG offers significant savings in fuel costs for our Town and School facilities. The presentation sparked many good questions and discussions and is available on Channel 13. There was interest in exploring this concept further, and you can expect that the School Board, Town Council, and Budget Committee will be talking about it.
