The front of the JR/SR High School is starting to take shape with the binder coat of pavement and granite curbing being installed for the new bus loop.  The temporary exterior boiler plant has been placed at the JR/SR High School with electrical and piping being connected.  At the Elementary School the footings and foundation are being poured for the kindergarten addition, the block walls are being installed for the gymnasium, and the new electrical conduits and transformer have been placed. In the next few weeks the contractors will be out of the areas to be occupied with the start of school for this year, moving into areas of new construction.

Groundbreaking

Today, June 22, we officially kicked off the school construction project with a groundbreaking ceremony at the junior-senior high.  School Board and Building Committee members were on hand to offer their thanks to the community for its generous support of this project. It takes all of us to "build brighter futures!"

Starting next week, June 25th, the activities at our schools will increase greatly with excavating activities, movement of the portable classrooms to a new staging area, and foundation work.  Please note that the entire JR/SR High school property will be inaccessible this summer due to the level of construction activities.  The elementary school will hold all of our summer programming and the offices for both schools.

If you have any questions regarding the projects please feel free to contact Greg Marles at gmarles@newmarket.nh.gov or Meredith Nadeau at nadeaum@newmarket.k12.nh.us.

We will be updating the website with ongoing information and pictures of the project.
